That's what they should have called, Hit Me Baby One More Time, NBC's new reality show, which premiered last night.

The concept is this: they take a bunch of 80's has-been rockers, stuff them into lycra and make them each perform. The audience then votes on who sucked the least.

The biggest shocker was the group of pudgy guys who purported to be Flock of Seagulls, but who neither looked nor sounded anything like the band. I think they just went into some bar, and bribed a couple of guys with a six pack of Shlitz if they'd go out and do a karaoke version of "I Ran."

For some unfanthomable reason, Arrested Development's embarrassing number won (think of it as a rap/dance version of your grandmother using words like "bling" and "meterosexual") . . . my fave, CeCe Peniston, was freakin' robbed.
