If I'd known that the wedding party gets to do this at the reception, George and I wouldn't have eloped after all. Crap. I totally missed my chance.

First, Dee from Dee and Dee's Dish About Books is featuring ME as her Fab Pick this month! Dee says so many nice things about me, I'm blushing (and clearly I'm going to have to hire her to be my P.R. rep from now on). But my favorite line from her introductory post is this:
And then there's her picture. She just looks NICE, don't you think? She's got a welcoming smile, not too many teeth showing, doesn't look like she's trying to have visual intercourse with the photographer.
Hee. Love that. And it makes me laugh to think of myself growling like a tiger as I crawl toward the camera, letting a nipple "accidentally" pop out, Paris Hilton-style.
Also, Dee's running multiple contests giving away my books as prizes, so check her site often.
Second, if you're in the Stuart area this Saturday, definitely check out Bookmania! at the Blake Library. I'll be speaking on a panel at 9:45 a.m. with fellow authors Lynne Cox and Sheri Reynolds, and moderated by Palm Beach Post columnist Jeri Butler, on the subject of Women's Journeys. It should be a fun (and nipple-free!) event.

My 2007 release finally has an official title:
You heard it here first! Except for my mom, who will at some point accuse me of not telling her this news.
Honestly. What's the point of even having a blog, if not to pass on information to my family without having to go through the effort of picking up the phone?

Sorry for the lack of recent posting . . . I promise when I emerge from these rewrites, I'll be back to blogging form.
In the meantime, check out my blog at the L.C. This week: teen nostalgia.

GEORGE: I really want 2007 to be a good year. A great year.
ME: It’s all about your attitude.
GEORGE: Thanks, Dr. Phil.
ME: You see that’s not a good attitude. You should really work on that.
